We originally had three volunteers to make a cheesecake (which is indubitably a kind of pie and not a cake, despite not being presented in a pie plate); of these, only Ramesh came through with one. Despite the lack of comparable pies, this one came in fourth overall, even though it was the only pie that the eaters thought was not quite sweet enough. (One commented specifically on the sourness of the white sour-cream topping.)
