You can see that the yellow building, Vironkatu 9, is in an obviously different style from the green building we just saw, and it’s also different from the building on the near side of the street with the overhanging balconies. When these buildings were constructed, there were no historic preservation laws demanding that the architects maintain a consistent style with those that came before — and so the whole street is a hodgepodge of different colors, styles, and functions, representing the fashions of the day.
